The writ petition was disposed of on the basis that the ranked list published by the review petitioner PSC has exhausted and therefore it was directed that it will be open to the authorities to make adhoc appointments. PSC has now filed this review petition disclosing that the rank list is current till 30/12/2008 and that there are candidates awaiting advice in the ranked list. If that be so, the assumption on the basis of which the writ petition was disposed of is erroneous.

The review petition deserves to be allowed and the judgment is therefore recalled.
