This petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. for quashing the proceedings in C.C.No.785/2003 on the file of J.F.C.M's Court, Payyannur.

Heard. It is submitted by the learned Public Prosecutor that the Government has passed an order in favour of the District Collector, Kannur, dated 6.6.2007 permitting the A.P.P. to file petition to withdraw the prosecution and that C.C.No.785/03 is posted to 6.10.2008. In the circumstances, this petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioners to seek the remedies before the learned J.F.C.M., Payyannur.
