J U D G M E N T

The only direction, issued by this court , to the first respondent herein, while disposing of Writ Petition No. 16793 of 2005 dated 9th January, 2007, was to permit the petitioners in the Writ Petition to take charge as non-hereditary trustees of Kunnummal Sree Bhagawati temple. Alleging that the respondents have disobeyed the orders and directions issued by this court, the complainant is before us in this Contempt case.
Senior Government Pleader Shri M.R. Sabu has produced before us, a communication received by him from the Commissioner of HR & CE (Admn.)Department, Kozhikode dated 22.06.2007. In that, it is stated that the respondents have cancelled the appointment of fit person and that he has been directed to hand over charge of all records and accounts etc., to the Chairman.

on 21.06.2007 and further direction to the fit person, who was appointed earlier by order dated 12.02.2007, to hand over charge of all records and accounts etc., to the Chairman, in our opinion, there is substantial compliance of the orders and directions issued by this court. Therefore, further proceedings under the Contempt of Courts Act need not be taken
up. Accordingly, the proceedings in this Contempt Case are dropped.
Ordered accordingly.
