Petitioner who is the 2^nd accused in Crime No. 190/'06 of Varkala Police Station for offences punishable under Sections 489 B and 489 C I.P.C. for the alleged detection of 30 counterfeit notes of Rs. 500/- denomination from and out of Rs. 2,00,000/deposited in the Varkala Branch of the State Bank of Travancore allegedly entrusted by the petitioner, seeks his enlargement on bail. The detection was on 27-3-2006. The petitioner was arrested on 4-1-2007 and ever since then he has been in judicial custody.

After examining all the aspects of the case and after considering the length of duration of judicial custody of the petitioner, I am inclined to grant bail to the petitioner on appropriate conditions safeguarding the interests of the persecution. Accordingly, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on his executing a bond for Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees

ten thousand only) with two solvent sureties each for the like amount to the satisfaction of the J.F.C.M., Varkala and subject to

The petitioner shall report before the Investigating Officer between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on all Wednesdays.

The petitioner shall make himself available for interrogation as and when required by the police till the filing of the final report.

3.. The petitioner shall not influence or intimidate the prosecution witnesses nor shall he attempt to tamper with the evidence for the prosecution.

The petitioner shall not commit any offence while on bail.

If the petitioner commits breach of any of the above conditions,

the bail granted to him shall be liable to be cancelled.
