This Writ Petition (Habeas Corpus) is filed seeking directions to the Police to produce the detenue before this Court on the allegation that the detenue is under illegal detention by the Police.

Learned State Public Prosecutor appearing for

the respondents submits that the detenue has been arrested in Crime No.46/2026 registered by Venoor Police Station for offences punishable under Sections 376, 376AB, 376DB and 506 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, and Section 3(1)(w)(i) & (ii) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. The copy of the FIR in Crime No.46/2026 is also placed on record.
