Kamal) - Writ Petition No. 4342 of 2022 (GM-R/C), filed under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India by three residents of Kodagu, seeking quashing of the notification dated 01.02.2022 issued by Respondent No. 2 (Commissioner, Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments) appointing Respondent Nos. 4 to 12 as members of the Management Committee of the respondent-Institution vide Annexure-C, as illegal and ab initio void. By order dated 05.06.2026 none appeared for the petitioners and the matter was listed to 08.06.2026; counsel for Respondent No. 7 had submitted that the impugned committee appointment was only for a period of three years effective from the year 2021 and had stood expired by efflux of time, rendering the petition infructuous. Learned counsel for the respondent No.7 submits that the impugned order appointing the committee in respect of the respondent-Institution was only for a period of three years effective from the year 2021 and the same has stood expired by efflux of time rendering the petition infructuous.

Since there is no representation on behalf of the petitioners, in the interest of justice, list this matter on 08.06.2026 for the say of the petitioner and further orders."
