Umamaheshwara Gramanthara Vdhyaardhaka Society, Mavali (Soraba Taluk, Shimoga District) filed the petition under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India challenging the endorsement dated 23-12-2025 (No. DRS/SOR/DOOAA/CR-77/2025-26/1356, Annexure-EE) issued by Respondent No. 1 and the election notices dated 15-12-2025 (Annexure-H) issued by Respondent No. 4, and praying for directions to Respondent No. 1 to consider their representation dated 25-11-2025 (Annexure-D) for appointment of an Administrative Officer and to conduct the election on the old voters list (Annexure-C) according to the Government Order dated 08-012014 (Annexure-K).
