ORAL ORDER

The petitioner asserts to be an authorized representative of a Trust constituted in the memory of a late Prime Minister of this Nation, and the petitioner seeks consideration of his representation for allotment of 25 acres of land to establish a Skill Development Institute to honour the memory of the high Dignitary.

Mr Fredy Charles, the learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that the petitioner has made the representation with the respondents with a laudable object of promoting skill development in the memory of the late Prime Minister but the respondents have not considered such representation and therefore

there is a cause for a direction by this Court to the respondents to consider the representation.

Mr B Ravindranath, a learned Additional Government Advocate, who is called upon to accept notice for the respondents, is heard in the light of the afore calling upon Mr Fredy Charles to justify a right to claim an allotment for the objectives that are canvassed. However, the learned counsel cannot make out a right for such allotment under a particular Statute or a Regulation. As such, there cannot be a positive direction and the petitioner must fail on this score, but this Court must observe that it would always be open to the petitioner to pursue his representation with the concerned for the indulgence that could be.

The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
