The petitioner is before the Court seeking the following

prayers:

"(a) Issue writ in the nature of mandamus to issue a direction to learned I Addl. chief Judicial Magistrate, Bangalore to conclude the trial in C.C.No.29497/2023 within period of one month.

(b) Issue any other writ, order or direction as this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper under the facts and circumstances of this case in the interest of justice and equity."

Heard Sri. Rakshith R., learned counsel appearing

for the petitioner and Smt. Sowmya R., learned High Court Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

The petitioner is accused No.1, is alleged of the offence punishable under Sections 380 and 454 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. The issue is pending before the concerned Court since 2023 and the perusal of the order sheet appended to the petition would indicate that the proceedings have not proceeded forward at all.
