The petitioner filed this petition seeking a mandamus directing respondent No.1 to consider the case of the petitioner to pay the examination fee of 6^th semester as opportunity granted by respondent No.1 in publication dated 22.10.2024 vide Annexure-C as requested in official letter issued by respondent No.2 dated 11.11.2024 vide Annexure-D.

Brief facts leading rise to the filing of this petition are as follows:

2.1. The petitioner joined respondent No.2-College

for B.Com. course and she has completed 4^th semester successfully. In the 5^th semester, 2 subjects remained due and she joined to 6^th semester. Although she had attended the classes, she could not attend the examination. Respondent No.1 issued a publication and notification by granting an opportunity to take examination to the failed students those who were joined during 200304 and thereafter, and also prescribed the last date to apply as 12.11.2024 with fine. Despite several efforts, the petitioner was unable to pay the fee only for due subjects in 5^th semester; whenever, she tried to pay the fee in student portal, option to pay for 6^th semester was showing as ‘NE’ (not eligible). The petitioner approached the respondents several times, and requested to enable her to take the examination of 6^th semester. Respondent No.1 refused to accept her request. Hence, this petition.

Learned counsel for respondent No.1-University submits that, pursuant to the interim order, the

respondents have permitted the petitioner to appear for the examination of 6^th semester. In view of the same, nothing further survives for consideration in this writ petition. Hence, he prays to dispose of the writ petition.
