The present writ petition has been filed impugning the order dated 29.12.2020 passed by the Central Government Industrial Tribunal-Cum-Labour Court (for short 'the CGIT') in EPF No.46/2017 instituted by the respondent herein, wherein the damages is reduced from 100% to 50% in exercise of the jurisdiction under the Section 7L of the Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952. The CGIT has taken into account the facts and circumstances of the case for reducing the damages to 50%.
