1. The case of the petitioner is that, respondent no.3Society has demanded a sum of Rs.49,50,600/- along with interest from the petitioner towards dues for two chit fund accounts. It is the contention of the petitioner that, he does not owe any money to respondent no.3-Society.

2. However, in the course of the arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submits that he has an alternative and efficacious remedy under Section 39 of the Karnataka Souharda Sahakari Act, 1997.

3. For the aforementioned reasons, the writ petition is

hereby dismissed reserving the liberty to the petitioner to approach the appropriate authority in the manner known to law.
