ORAL ORDER

In this petition, petitioner seeks the following reliefs:

“i) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 14.10.2024, 16.11.2024, 10.03.2025, 13.05.2025 and 18.06.2025 for considering the claims of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Registrar, vide Annexures-F, H, J, L and N;

ii) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Registrar in the light of the recommendations of the Executive Engineer, Karnataka Urban Water Supply and Drainage Board, Division, Bellary, dated 29.10.2024. 26.03.2025 and 19.06.2025 vide Annexures – G, K and O;

iii) Alternatively, direct the respondents to promote the petitioner to the post of Registrar on the basis of the seniority assigned to him in the post of First Division Assistant Seniority List dated 19.10.2019 and seniority list of Office Superintendent dated 14.10.2024 vide Annexures-A and F

and by publishing combined Seniority list of Parental Cadre and Local Cadre in the post of Office Superintendent;

iv) Issue such other writ, order or direction as deems fit in the circumstances of the case and allow the above writ petition with costs, in the interest of justice and equity.”

AGA for respondent No.1 and learned counsel for respondent No.2 and perused the material on record.

It is the grievance of the petitioner that his representations at Annexures – F, H, J, L and N dated 14.10.2024, 16.11.2024, 10.03.2025, 13.05.2025 and 18.06.2025 submitted to the respondents have not been considered so far by the respondents nor any order has been passed on the same. Under these circumstances, the petitioner is before this Court by way of present petition.

Per contra, learned AGA and learned counsel for the respondents submits that if reasonable time is given, the respondents would consider and pass necessary orders on the said representations.
