This writ petition is filed by the plaintiff under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, seeking the following relief:

“Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ directing the II Additional Senior Civil Judge, Bengaluru Rural District, Bengaluru in O.S.No.1198/2021 to conclude the cross examination within a stipulated time limit of four weeks.”

For the sake of convenience, the parties are referred to according to their ranking before the trial court.

The petitioner/plaintiff filed a suit in O.S. No. 1198/2021 seeking declaration and permanent injunction. Upon service of summons, the defendants appeared through counsel and filed their written statement. Based on the pleadings of the parties, the trial court framed the issues. The matter was set down for the plaintiff’s evidence; the plaintiff has been examined as PW1, and the case is now posted for the evidence of PW2, namely, G.R. Venkata Reddy.
