The petitioner is before this Court calling in question the proceedings in C.C.No.6684/2023 pending before the 24^th Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bengaluru City, for the offences under Sections 498(A), 504 and 506 of Indian Penal Code and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

Heard Sri.Deepak M, learned counsel appearing for

the petitioner, Smt.M.M.Waheeda, learned HCGP appearing for respondent No.1 and have perused the material on record.

During the pendency of the proceedings, the

learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the matter is amicably settled and has moved the matter for reporting settlement. The Memo filed by the learned counsel for the petitioner reads as follows:

“The matter has been amicably settled between the parties. The petitioner submits that the matter is now urgent as he is intending to apply for a government employment for which the upper age limit is 35 years. The petitioner is due to attain 35 years of age on the 21^st of this month, and therefore, it is necessary that he submits his application for the said employment before that date. In view of the settlement and the urgency involved, the quashing of the present petition is sought at the earliest. Accordingly, the memo is filed.”

In the light of the memo being filed as quoted supra

and taking note of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, I deem it appropriate to
