The petitioner is before this Court calling in question the registration of a crime and crime No.184/2024 for the offence punishable under Sections 34 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 ('the IPC' for short).

Heard Sri. M. Chamaraj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Sri. K. Nageshwarappa, learned High Court Government Pleader appearing for respondent No.1.

The solitary contention of the petitioner is that his name is not found anywhere either in the complaint or in any of the statements. Without any rhyme or reason, the petitioner is now dragged into the web of crime in crime No.184/2024. To ascertain the truth, the investigation papers were summoned.

A perusal at the papers would clearly indicate that the petitioner does have three names. One the present name that is Nagaraju M.C., the other alias Ravikumar, the third alias

Chalawadi Mohan. Therefore, the only submission now to stall investigation of the petitioner is that, his name is not found would tumble down. In that light, the matter requires investigation.

The petitioner is at liberty to approach the Court in the event charge sheet is filed against him at a later point in time.
