The appellant has admitted that Leave

encashment amount of Rs.1,82,000/- was due and payable as per the Communication dated 17.11.2017. In view of the aforesaid admission, the Writ court directed

the appellant to pay the leave encashment amount of Rs.1,82,000/- along with interest @ 6% per annum.

In compliance of the said order, the appellant has paid Rs.1,82,000/- to the respondent on 18.04.2026. However, interest has not been paid. We therefore, find no reason to interfere with the impugned order passed by the Writ Court. Accordingly, the Writ Appeal is dismissed . However, we extend time for making payment of interest on the Leave Encashment amount of Rs.1,82,000/- @ 6% per annum from 17.11.2017 till 18.04.2026, within a period of six weeks from today.
