Learned counsel for the petitioner has filed a memo dated 16.01.2025 duly signed by the petitioner, which reads as under:-
"The Petitioner submits as follows:
The Petitioner had challenged the validity of the BDA (Disposal of Corner Sites And Commercial Sites) Rules, 1984 and for other reliefs. The Petitioner's grievance is also that though a site was allotted to him in Arkavathi layout in the year 2006 and subsequently cancelled due to various legal complications arising in relation to the acquisition

proceedings and unconnected to the petitioner, the BDA has not taken steps to make a fresh allotment and is rather disposing the sites under the impugned Rules. During the pendency of the present writ petition the BDA has allotted site bearing No.B7-SA-356 vide allotment letter No.73384 dated 29.10.2024 in Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout. In view of this subsequent development, the petitioner does not intend to pursue the present writ petition.
Wherefore, the petitioner prays that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to dismiss the present petition as not pressed, in the interest of justice and equity."
