The petitioners are before this Court, seeking for the following reliefs:

"(i) Writ of mandamus directing the respondent No.2, 3 and 4 to hold and conduct elections to the respondent No.5 by appointing the returning officer forthwith;

(ii) Issue a writ in the nature mandamus to the respondent No.3 and 4 to continue the functioning of the board till the holding of the election to the respondent No.5 society;

(iii) such other direction or order writ as may deem fit to this Hon'ble Court may kindly be issued."

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that during the pendency of the above matter, elections have been held, rendering the above petition infructuous.
