The petitioner has sought for a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct the respondents to consider her representation dated 06.07.2021, for appointment on compassionate ground.

The petitioner contends that her husband, who was working as an Assistant Reserve Sub-Inspector, District Armed Reserve, Tumkur, died while in service on 26.09.2020. The petitioner contends that the deceased has left behind the petitioner and his daughter. The petitioner therefore submitted an application for appointment on compassionate grounds. The

said application was filed on 06.07.2021 which is not considered till date. The petitioner has therefore sought for a direction as stated above.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the family of the petitioner is in severe financial difficulties and therefore, a direction has to be granted to the respondents to consider the representation.

Learned Additional Government Advocate submits that if the petitioner is entitled for appointment on compassionate grounds, the same shall be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the aforesaid submissions, this writ petition is allowed . The respondent No.2 is directed to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate grounds by taking into account all facts and circumstances and pass appropriate orders. This shall be done
