The petitioner has approached this Court seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to assign the revised schedule of timings to the petitioner’s permit No.22/2000-2001, in terms of the order passed by the Karnataka State Transport Authority (hereinafter referred to as “KSTA”) dated 07.04.2025 in Subject No.15/2024 (Annexure–A).

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned High Court Government Pleader for the State.

The petitioner is a stage carriage holding permit Nos.19/2000-01, 20/2000-01, and 22/2000-01, covering the route between Chittoor and Kolar, was fixed several years ago. It is not in dispute that the KSTA, by its order dated 07.04.2025 (Annexure–A), resolved to revise and

assign the schedule of timings and directed the respondent-authority to implement the same.

The grievance of the petitioner is that, despite the clear directions issued by the KSTA on 07.04.2025, the respondent has failed to not implement the revised schedule of timings till date, thereby compelling the petitioner to approach this Court.

Upon perusal of the material on record, this

Court finds that the KSTA specific directions dated 07.04.2025 remains unimplemented without any justifiable reason. The matter being purely administrative in nature, this Court deems it appropriate to issue necessary directions to ensure compliance with the KSTA’s order. Accordingly, the following:
