This writ petition is filed under Articles 226 & 227 of the Constitution of India, seeking the following relief:

“Writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 13.08.2024 as per Annexure-J to the writ petition.”

The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner’s

father was working as a Pourakarmika in Town Panchayathi, Channagiri. While he was in service, he died on 15.03.2014. On the basis of the request made by the petitioner, he has been appointed on compassionate grounds, as Water Supply Assistant, as per Annexure-G, dated 15.10.2015.

The grievance of the petitioner is that, even

though the petitioner is qualified to be promoted as Second Division Assistant, his case has not been considered. Therefore, he has given a representation, dated 13.08.2024, vide Annexure-J to respondent Nos. 1 and 2. Since no action has been taken, the petitioner is before this Court.

The learned AGA for the State submits that, if this Court grants some reasonable time, the representation of the petitioner would be considered, in accordance with law.

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, respondent Nos. 1 and 2 are directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner vide Annexure-J dated 13.08.2024, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, not later than three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
