The petitioner has challenged the memorandum bearing No.THA.PM.SO/LE.SHA-2/DURU/2025-26/506

dated 18.07.2025 by which a Committee was constituted to look into allegations of misappropriation in the execution of a scheme by the panchayath.

The petitioner is a Panchayat Development

Officer of Beloor Grama Panchayat. He contends that the work is executed as per the scheme and that the petitioner is deliberately targeted by appointing a Committee to go into the allegations of misappropriation. He therefore prays that the impugned memorandum be quashed.

A perusal of the writ petition does not disclose as to what exactly is the grievance of the petitioner and also as to what exactly is the relief sought for. The writ petition is hopelessly drafted and does not set out the reasons for filing the writ petition and the grounds on

which the impugned order is challenged. Be that as it may,

a perusal of the impugned order shows that based on a complaint lodged by one of the members of the Panchayat, the Executive Officer of Taluk Panchayat has constituted a Committee to go into the allegations. The petitioner being the Panchayat Development Officer has no locus standi to question this order. If the work is not executed as per the scheme, the petitioner is bound to cooperate with the committee constituted for the purpose

of conducting an enquiry into the allegations made. Therefore, the writ petition lacks merit and is dismissed .
