The petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs:

¶30

"a) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other writ or writs, order or orders, direction or directions against the respondents to remove the lying snapped live wires on the land in question immediately and place them to the existing poll in the land in question;

b) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other writ or writs, order or orders, direction or directions against the respondents to restore the power supply to RR.No.HGTP.895 having ID.No.5809181 forthwith;

c) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other writ or writs, order or orders, direction or directions against the respondents to take criminal those unscrupulous persona under the criminal law of the land and pay the damages amounting to Rs. 10,00,000/- to the petitioner towards redressal of the inconvenience, mental agony and damages suffered by the petitioner due to inaction of the respondents in the matter forthwith;

d) And to pass any such other order/s as this Hon'ble court may deem fit to grant in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice and equity."

petitioner and learned counsel appearing for the respondents.

Brief facts of the case are as under:

The petitioner claims to be the absolute owner in possession and enjoyment of Survey Nos.22/1A and 22/1B measuring 1 acre 20 guntas and 18 guntas respectively situated at Nagatihalli Village, Huliyurdurga Hobli, Kunigal Taluk, Tumkur District. The petitioner was constructing a farmhouse on the said land and had approached respondent No.4 for electricity supply. The said respondent installed an electric meter bearing R.R.No.HGTP.895, I.D.No.5809181 and power supply was accordingly provided. The petitioner paid Rs.6,000/- in the year 2024 towards installation charges and an electricity bill dated 22.11.2024, for Rs.1,365/- was issued by respondent No.4. It is the grievance of the petitioner that certain private persons have illegally disconnected the

power supply, compelling him to lodge a complaint before

the respondents-Authorities.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that upon receiving the complaint, the electricity connection was initially restored. However, the petitioner has defaulted in payment of the outstanding bill amount, leading to disconnection once again.

Learned counsel for the petitioner fairly admits

¶46

that the electricity connection is presently disconnected on account of nonpayment of dues.

¶47

In view of the admitted position, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the petitioner to pay the due amount as demanded by respondent No.4 within a period of two(2) weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. Upon such payment, respondent No.4 shall restore the electricity connection within 48 hours thereafter and shall intimate compliance to the petitioner in writing.
