The petitioner is before this Court seeking a direction to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner.

The learned counsel Sri. Chetan Munnoli representing the Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited submits that the utilisation of the land of the petitioner has allegedly taken place by constructing a canal and the process of acquisition has now commenced and the proposal has been submitted to the State. It is for the State to take action in accordance with law.

In the light of the said circumstance, without entering into the merit of the claim of the petitioner, I deem it appropriate to dispose the petition with a direction to the State to take expeditious steps with regard to the proposal sent by the Karnataka Meeravari Nigam, which has now initiated the process of acquisition of the lands of the petitioner which had stood utilised long ago.
