This appeal is filed by the appellant/claimant under Section 173(1) of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 challenging the judgment and award dated 20.12.2024 passed in ECA No. 14/2020 on the file of the Prl. Senior Civil Judge and CJM, Tumakuru, to examine and modify the award and to assess the compensation.

Learned counsel for the appellant submits that the appellant who is a workman sustained injuries and filed claim petition, claiming compensation of Rs.10 lakhs and the tribunal granted Rs.9,98,304/- with interest at the rate of 12% p.a., from 20.5.2020, i.e., one month subsequent to the accident till the realization.
