The aforesaid appeal has been filed to set aside the judgment and decree dated 13.02.2024 passed by the V Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Bengaluru in M.C.No.5807/2019. By means of the impugned judgment and decree, the petition filed by the respondent under Section 13(1)(ia) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, was allowed and the marriage between the parties solemnized on 03.09.2017 and registered before the Registrar of Marriage on 18.11.2017 was dissolved by granting decree of divorce.

A memorandum of compromise petition was filed on 19.11.2025 which contains the terms of the settlement entered into between the parties. It is stated that the money required to be paid and the items required to be returned as reflected in paragraph 7 of the memorandum of compromise petition, have been done. The Demand Draft of Rs.14,00,000/-, the details of

which appear in clause (ii) of paragraph 7 of the said memorandum, has been handed over in Court to the appellant.

The learned counsel for the appellant states that in view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, he does not press the appeal.

The appeal is accordingly disposed of in terms of the memorandum of compromise petition. The terms of the memorandum of compromise petition shall form part of the decree.
