Petitioner has preferred this petition with a limited prayer to issue direction to the Trial Court to conclude the trial within a period of six months or such time as this Court deems fit.

Petitioner is accused no. 1 in Crime No. 101/2022 of K.R. Puram Police Station, Bengaluru city, wherein, the charge sheet came to be filed against accused Nos. 1 to 3 for the offences punishable under Section 498A, 323, 504 read with Section 34 of IPC. The said accused preferred Criminal Petition No.9468/2022 before this court to quash the entire proceedings pending in CC No. 54701/2022 on the file of the Court of X Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Mayo hall, Bengaluru. This Court vide order dated 24.03.2025, quashed the

proceedings insofar as accused Nos. 2 and 3 are concerned and directed that the proceedings shall continue as against the petitioner/accused No.1, in accordance with law.

The petitioner is the sole accused, who is now facing trial. During the pendency of this petition, on 27.06.2025, the Trial Court was requested to send the report regarding the present status of the case and the time which may be required to frame the charges and to conclude the trial.

The learned XXIX ACJM, Bengaluru, vide letter dated 28.06.2025 has stated that, on 18.06.2025, accused No. 1 appeared and filed a copy of the order passed in Criminal Petition No.9468/2022 dated 24.03.2025, wherein this court quashed the entire proceedings against accused Nos. 2 and 3 and further that, the case is now adjourned to 06.08.2025 for framing of charges and it may require at least four months time to conclude the trial from the date of framing of charges, as the learned judge has to perform the work of XXIX ACMM Court along with X ACMM Court, Bengaluru.

It is submitted that there are only eight witnesses cited in the charge sheet.

Considering the facts and circumstances and the
