ORAL ORDER

Registration of FIR in Crime No.271/2025 of

Suddaguntepalya Police Station, Bengaluru City is sought to be quashed in this petition, preferred under Section 528 of the BNSS, 2023.

FIR is registered on a complaint lodged by the second respondent against the petitioners for the offence punishable under Section 115(2), 126(2), 351(2), 352 read with Section 3(5) of the BNS, 2023.

An application is filed to permit the parties to compound the offence and to quash the proceedings on the ground of settlement. Application is accompanied by the joint affidavit of the petitioners and respondent No.2.

It is stated that at the intervention of elders

and well wishers, petitioners and the complainant have amicably settled all their differences, litigations and disputes and the complainant voluntarily agreed to withdraw the case filed against the petitioners.

Petitioners and respondent No.2 / defacto complainant are present before the Court. Respondnet No.2 submits that in view of the settlement, he has no objection to quash the FIR registered against the petitioners.

The complaint averments reveal that the complainant is none other than the brother-in-law of the petitioners. The incident is alleged to have taken place on 27.09.2025 at about 08:30 p.m., wherein, it is alleged that the petitioners came to the house of the complainant, abused him and assaulted with a wooden stick and threatened him etc.

Victim has not sustained any visible injury. The

incident appears to have taken place on account of a trivial

issue. In view of the amicable settlement between the parties, it is expedient to quash the proceedings in the interest of justice. Hence, the following:-

ORDER

i) Application is allowed, consequently, petition is allowed .

ii) Entire proceedings arising out of Crime No.271/2025 of Suddaguntepalya Police Station,

Bengaluru City, against the petitioners are quashed .
