The petitioners are relatives of the husband of respondent no.2-complainant. The case has arisen out of a matrimonial dispute between respondent no.2 and her husband. The petitioners herein are charged with offences under Sections 498A, 504 and 506 read with Section 34 of IPC.

Respondent No.2 is present before the Court and is duly identified by her respective advocate.

It is submitted by both the counsel for the petitioners as well as learned counsel for respondent No.2 that the parties have mutually settled the matter, and it is prayed that the criminal proceedings against the petitioners be quashed.

Admittedly, the dispute is marital in nature. The parties have arrived at a compromise. The petitioners are not alleged to have committed any heinous crime. Quashing of the proceedings against the petitioners will serve the interests of both the complainant (respondent No.2) and the petitioners herein allowing them to lead their lives peacefully.
