This petition is preferred to quash the FIR and complaint in Crime No.96/2025 registered by East Women Police Station, Bengaluru City.

FIR is registered on the basis of a complaint lodged by respondent No.2, against accused Nos.1 to 3 namely the Husband, Mother-in-law and Sister-in-law for the offence punishable under Section 85, 115(2), 352, 351 (2), 3(5) of BNS 2023. The investigation in this case is pending.

As per complaint averments, the marriage of 2^nd respondent with accused No.1 took place on 24.05.2024 at one Pai Resort in Belagavi. After the marriage, she started residing in her matrimonial house in Bangalore along with her husband, mother-in-law and sister-in-law. It is alleged that she was subjected to physical and mental torture in her matrimonial home.

It is contended by the learned counsel for the petitioners that insofar as these petitioners, the entire

This petition is preferred by the mother-in-law and

sister-in-law of 2^nd respondent. Since the investigation is pending, this Court is not inclined to stall the investigation or express any opinion on the merits of the case. The police have to conduct a fair investigation and file an appropriate report.
