These two petitions are filed by accused Nos.4, 7, 8 and 6 respectively, seeking quashing of proceedings in Cr.No.99/2024 for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 419, 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 read with Section 34 of IPC.

Today, an application under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. is filed indicating that the accused persons and the complainant have amicably resolved their dispute, and in terms of the settlement, the accused have paid a sum of Rs.8,00,000/- to respondent No.2/complainant.

On enquiry, respondent No.2 has confirmed the settlement and has acknowledged receipt of the aforesaid

amount, which has been credited to his wife’s account through RTGS. On perusal of the application and upon consideration of the submissions, this Court is of the view that the dispute between the petitioners and respondent No.2 is essentially civil in nature.

Since the dispute now stands settled by payment made by petitioners/accused Nos.4, 6, 7 and 8, and respondent No.2/complainant has consented to give a quietus to the proceedings, this Court finds it appropriate to accept the settlement. Accordingly, both petitions are allowed and the proceedings in Crime No.99/2024 pending on the file of the III Additional CMM Court, Bengaluru, for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 419, 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 read with Section 34 of IPC, are hereby quashed insofar as accused Nos.4, 6, 7 and 8 are concerned.
