This contempt petition has been filed alleging violation of order dated 04.09.2024, wherein in paragraph No.11, the learned Single Judge has said as under:

"11. Consequently, the writ petitions stand disposed of while permitting the petitioner/defendant No.1 to deposit the arrears of rent as directed by the Commercial Court within a period of sixty (60) days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Ordered accordingly."

We have been informed that the order was

taken in appeal before the Hon'ble Supreme Court and the Hon'ble Supreme Court has dismissed the petition as withdrawn on a statement made by learned counsel for the accused stating that he intends to avail appropriate legal remedy before appropriate forum in accordance with law.

Crores has been deposited with the Commercial Court. Learned counsel for the accused states that balance amount of Rs.40,00,000/- (Rupees Forty Lakhs only) shall be deposited with the Commercial Court on or before 17.07.2025.

Taking the statement on record, we close the contempt petition by giving liberty to the counsel for the complainant to revive this contempt petition if the amount of Rs.40,00,000/- (Rupees Forty Lakhs only) is not deposited in terms of the submission made by the learned counsel for the accused.
