The respondent No.2 after conducting the required inspection had granted a trade license in favour of the petitioner after collecting the requisite fee vide certificate dated 02.04.2016 which was valid until 31.03.2017. The petitioner had applied for renewal of said trade license for the year 201718. The respondent No.2 has considered the same and after collecting the requisite fee, issued a trade license which was extended upto 31.03.2018. He applied for renewal of the said trade license for further period of one year by making payment of `25,000/-, as per the license renewal fee on 28.02.2018. The respondent No.2 strangely refused to renewal the license further and unilaterally cancelled the trade license issued to the petitioner vide its letter dated 09.05.2018 and directed the petitioner to close the service apartments. Hence, the petitioner aggrieved by the letter / intimation dated 09.05.2018 filed this writ petition.
