THIS WRIT PETITION IS FILED UNDER ARTICLES 226 AND 227 OF THE INDIAN CONSTITUTION PRAYING TO DIRECT THE RESPONDENTS TO ANNOUNCE THE RESULTS OF THE INTERVIEW HELD AS PER THE NOTIFICATION DATED 21.8.2014 VIDE ANN-D ONLY IN RESPECT OF PAEDODONTICS & ETC.

The petitioner has sought for a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct the respondents to announce the result of the interview held in respect of notification bearing No.GDCRI/EST(1)/08/20213-14 dated 21.08.2024 in respect of Paedodontics.

The petitioner contends that respondent No.1 issued a notification inviting applications from the eligible candidates for the posts of lecturer and assistant professor in government dental colleges. The petitioner applied for the post of assistant professor in Paedodontics. The respondent No.2 issued an intimation requiring the petitioner to face the interview on 02.12.2014, in which she purportedly performed well. She claims that she was entitled to horizontal

reservation. Nonetheless, respondent No.1 did not announce the provisional select list and did not intimate the petitioner. The petitioner is therefore, before this Court seeking for an appropriate direction to respondents to announce the results of the interview.

Learned senior counsel for the petitioner reiterated the above contentions and contended that the petitioner is entitled to be notified about the outcome/result of the interview. He therefore contended that a direction deserves to be issued to the respondents to announce the results.

Learned counsel for the respondents on the other hand contends that, the result of the recruitment notification was announced and the petitioner was not one of the persons in the provisional selection list. She submitted that the provisional selection list is now challenged in W.P No.2135/2018 and therefore, nothing survives for consideration in this petition.

Learned senior counsel for the petitioner did not dispute the facts that the result of the interview was announced and the same was challenged in W.P No.2135/2018.

In that view of the matter, nothing survives for consideration in this writ petition and the same is dismissed . However, it is open for the petitioner to challenge the
