ORAL ORDER
The captioned petition is filed seeking a mandamus against respondent No.2 to correct the extent of the subject land in column (9) of the computerized RTC by reflecting the extent as 1 acre 10 guntas by considering the representation dated 19.2.2024.

purchased the land under registered sale deed dated 17.4.1986 and the extent indicated in the sale deed is 1
acre 10 guntas, which is evidenced at Annexure-A. The records also reveal that the extent was rightly reflected as 1 acre 10 guntas when the RTCs were generated manually. It is only on computerization, the extents are not at all reflected and the figure '0' is shown in the ownership column. Respondent No.2/Tahsildar though notified that there is error in the RTC, has clearly shown lack of diligence, which seriously prejudices the petitioner's right. Petitioner has legal right to seek rectification. Respondent No.2/Tahsildar is equally obligated to rectify the error in view of introduction of computerization of RTC. This is a fit case to issue mandamus.
ORDER
(i) Writ petition is allowed.

(ii) Respondent no.2 * and 3 hereby directed to rectify the extent of subject land in column No.9 by reflecting the extent as 1 acre 10 guntas as indicated in the sale deed evidenced at Annexure-A.
(iii) This exercise shall be accomplished within a period of six weeks' from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
