The petitioner asserts to be an Editor of the "Avanthara Kannada weekly News Paper" having circulation in Davanagere District. The petitioner was issued with Media Accreditation card valid up to 31.12.2023. Therefore, the petitioner submitted an application for renewal/issuance of media accreditation card. Petitioner's grievance is that, the third respondent without any sufficient cause has not issued/renewed the accreditation card in favour of the petitioner.

The learned Additional Government Advocate for the respondents submits that the request of the petitioner's will be acceded to if the petitioner is found eligible for the renewal.

The submission of the learned AGA is placed on record.

Therefore, it is expedient to dispose of the petition by directing the third respondent to consider the application dated 30.03.2024 submitted by the petitioner at Annexure-F,

and to pass an appropriate order in accordance with law within tour weeks from the date of receiving of the certified copy of this order.
