The marks card of SSLC was enclosed along with the application for appointment. The petitioner was appointed as a lineman by the respondents on 20.11.1997. He was thereafter promoted as Junior Engineer and deputed to work at 66/11, KV Sub-Station, ID Halli, Madugiri taluk. He contends that he had put in 27 years of service. He contends that long thereafter, on a representation submitted by a person named Mr. R.Reddychannayellappa, the respondent No.4 issued a notice dated 22.09.2023 to the petitioner stating that the said person had alleged that the petitioner had given a false date of birth. He was also informed that on verifying his service register, it was found that his date of birth was mentioned as 01.03.1957. Therefore, the petitioner was called upon to submit documents to establish his correct date of birth. The petitioner thereafter submitted his reply stating that his date of birth was correctly mentioned as 01.03.1967. The petitioner contends that even after submitting reply, the respondent No.3 suspended the petitioner from service in terms of the impugned order pending an enquiry.
