ORDER
The land bearing RS.No.78/1 measuring 8 acres 9 guntas situated at Lokapur village, Mudhol Taluk, Bagalkot district was forfeited to the State Government free of all encumbrances for violation of Section 61 of the Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1961 (for short, hereinafter referred to as ‘the Act’). The petitioner claiming to be the landless person submitted a representation with respondent No.2 for distributing the said land in terms of Section 77 (1) of the Act and the Rules there under. The petitioner grievance is that the said representation has not been considered even till date.
Learned Additional Government Pleader on instructions submitted that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law, if reasonable time is granted.
Therefore, it is expedient to dispose off the writ petition directing respondent Nos.1 to 3 to consider the representation dated 26.05.2016 submitted to the petitioner at annexure-F and pass appropriate orders within a period of four months from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed off .
