“That the counsel for the Petitioners most respectfully submits as under:-

That the Petitioners have sent a Letter dated 19/02/2024 to the Respondent No.1 wherein it is stated that the management of the company wants to surrender the exemption status of "Employees Provident Fund of the West Coast Paper Mills Ltd, Dandeli" and requested to kindly advise the procedure to be followed for surrendering the exemption status. The copy of the Letter dated 19/2/2024 is enclosed with this Memo. Thereafter the 1st respondent replied to the said letter in Letter bearing No. Karna KN/HubballiHBL/ENF/2023- 24/2456 dated 12/03/2024 stating that to surrender EPF exemption, it is directed to withdraw the case Writ Petition No. 105308-105309/2017 filed before this Hon'ble Court. The copy of the Letter dated 12/03/2024 is enclosed with this Memo. Hence the petitioners may kindly be permitted to withdraw the above mentioned Petition as not pressed, in the interest of justice and equity.
