The captioned writ petition is filed seeking direction against the respondents to consider the petitioner’s complaint lodged on 08.09.2019 and trace the vehicle owned by the petitioner.

Facts leading to the case are as under;

The petitioner’s father lodged a complaint before respondent No.5. The petitioner met with an accident while he was proceedings on his motorcycle bearing No.KA-28/U-8017 from Muttur to Jamkhandi. The petitioner was hit by an offending vehicle and sustained grievous injuries and he was immediately shifted to the hospital. As petitioner and his father had sustained grievous injuries and were found unconscious, taking advantage of the medical condition of petitioner and his father, some miscreants committed theft of the bike and a complaint is lodged.

Learned HCGP on instruction submits that inspite of

efforts made by the Investigating Officer, the vehicle is not traced and therefore, ‘C’ report is filed.

In response to the notice issued by this Court, it appears that Investigating Officer has sent a communication addressed to the Advocate General. Learned HCGP has brought to the notice of this Court that Investigating Officer De hors submission of ‘C’ report, are still making sincere efforts to trace the bike, which was lost on the day of accident occurred.

Recording submission of learned HCGP, captioned writ petition stands disposed of.

The Investigating Officer shall make sincere efforts in tracing the bike.
