Joint memo is filed. Joint memo reads as under:

“We, the undersigned counsel representing the petitioner and the respondent in the aforementioned matter, hereby submit as follows:

1. The petitioner has filed a revision petition challenging the conviction and judgment rendered by the Hon’ble Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate and Judicial Magistrate First Class at Belthangady, which was subsequently affirmed in Criminal Application No.223/2019 by Hon’ble 3^rd Addl. District and Sessions Judge, Mangalore.

2. It is submitted that the both parties to the present revision petition have reached an amicable resolution and have agreed to compromise and settle the disputes arising from the case. The petitioner has consented to remit an additional sum of Rs.50,000/- to the respondent, in addition to the amount previously deposited with the learned trial Judge during pendency of the appeal and this revision petition as well, the respondent has also expressed agreement to settle the matter upon receipt of the amount assured by the petitioner.

3. The petitioner submits and confirms that he has already deposited a sum of Rs.33,750/- before the Hon’ble ACJ and JMFC Court at Belthangady and the petitioner has no objection for the respondent to withdraw the said amount.

4. The petitioner undertakes to deposit/pay an additional sum of Rs.50,000/- to the respondent on or before 15^th November 2024 towards the full and final settlement arising out of above claim.

5. The both the parties submits that, if the amount is not found in deposit before the trial Court as stated above or if the petitioner fails to pay the additional amount as agreed above, the respondent is at liberty to move this Hon’ble Court to recall the settlement order and argue the above matter.

Therefore, this Hon’ble Court may kindly pleased to permit the petitioner and respondent to settle the case amicably. Dispose the above Revision Petition in the interest of justice.”
