account of one of the accused in the present case. The car belonging to the first informant was subsequently recovered at the instance of accused nos.1 & 2. Accordingly, he prays to dismiss the petition.

No.2 and accused no.1 was arrested on 21.08.2024. At the instance of accused nos.1 & 2, car bearing registration No.KA53-MD-1814 belonging to the first informant was recovered. The material on record would go to show that the ransom amount of Rs.3 lakhs was transferred as per the instructions of
the accused persons to the account of one of the accused. The accused persons are required to be identified in accordance with law and some of the accused are yet to be arrested. The offence under Section 364A IPC is punishable with life imprisonment and for the offence under Section 397 IPC, the minimum punishment is imprisonment for a period of seven years. Investigation in the case is under progress, and therefore, I am of the view that at this stage, petitioner's prayer for grant of regular bail cannot be entertained. Accordingly, petition is dismissed.
