Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the material on record.

The limited prayer of the petitioner in the present petition is for a direction to the Trial Court to hear and dispose of the suit in O.S.No.656/2012 within a stipulated timeframe.

In view of the fact that the said suit in O.S.No.656/2012 is pending for more than ten years, without expressing any opinion on merits / demerits of the rival contentions, I deem it just and appropriate to direct the Trial Court to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.656/2012 as expeditiously as possible and preferably on or before 21.12.2023, in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid directions, the petition stands disposed of.

All rival contentions on all aspects of the matter are kept open and no opinion is expressed on the same.
