The captioned petition is filed by a law student seeking mandamus to issue direction to the respondents to accept the examination fees and permit the petitioner to

appear for examination of I, II, III, IV, V and VI semesters scheduled to be held from the month of March, 2024.

that students who have failed to complete their degree within six years are entitled to seek extension for a period of two more consecutive attempts. Coupled with extension under Rule 14(c), a candidate is also entitled under Rule 14(e) to seek one last opportunity as a golden chance. Admittedly, petitioner got admitted in respondent No.4/College in 2016. On examining Rule 14(c) and 14(e), it is clearly evident that petitioner is entitled to pursue the course and complete it and possess the eligibility subject to grant of benefit under Rule 14(e).
