know about the accident in between 5.45 a.m. and 6.00 a.m. by the Trax vehicle. He noticed stationing of a Trax on the left side of the road. The said Trax was coming from Harapanahally side. He noticed that, Narayana deceased had lost his consciousness and he sustained injuries on his left leg. He came to know that, the accident was caused by the accused. Thus, though, he is cited as an eye witness, but, according to his evidence, he arrived at the scene of occurrence only after the accident. He was declared as hostile witness by the prosecution. He admits that, he has stated before the Police that when he was so walking, the tempo Trax dashed to the deceased. But, in the crossexamination, he categorically says that he is the Press reporter of Vijaya Karnataka. He is frequent visitor to the Police Station. He admits that he has not seen the accident as it was darkness at that time. He admits that, accused made the deceased to drink water and called the Ambulance. He further admits that, as he has not seen the accident, he cannot say how the said accident has taken place. Thus, the evidence of PW.2 is quite contrary to his own statement
