The petitioner has challenged the prosecution initiated against him in Spl.C.C.No.29/2019 pending trial before the II Additional District and Sessions Judge, Chitradurga for the offences punishable under Sections 354(a), 504 of IPC and Sections 3(1) w(1)(2) and 3(1)(r) of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 (hereinafter referred to as 'the Act, 1989' for short).
