In the report it is averred that in furtherance of a missing complaint lodged in Crime No.43/2023, the informant had arrested Anil Kumar in Belur, Hassan District and during interrogation, he had confessed about committing the murder of Govindaraju, who was missing from 30.01.2023. In his confession statement, Anil Kumar has stated that he along with petitioners herein had committed the murder of Govindaraju since Govindaraju was pestering his niece - Moulya. He had also stated that after having committed the murder of Govindaraju in the factory shed of accused No.3 at Bengaluru, the dead body of Govindaraju was shifted in a car and the accused persons had thrown the dead body in a valley at Charmadi Ghat. After recording the confession statement of accused No.1 - Anil Kumar, the complainant and his staff had gone to the spot where the dead body of Govindaraju was thrown and had recovered the dead body at about 7.00 a.m. on 01.02.2023.
