accused No.1, refused to give Rs.8,000/-, further, it is alleged that, the matter was settled for Rs.6,000/- and the accused No.1 asked the complainant to give the amount to accused No.2 who was working as Lineman. Being aggrieved by the demand made by the accused No.1, the complainant approached Lokayukta Police on 15.06.2011 and filed a written complaint. A pre-trap proceeding was conducted on 16.06.2011 at the Office of the Lokayukta Police and thereafter, PW.3 – shadow witness was made to accompany PW.2 – complainant to go to the office of the accused. Accordingly, both PW.2 and PW.3 went to the office of the accused and informed about the illegal gratification amount which PW.2 carried along with him and PW.2 was informed to hand over the amount to accused No.2. Accused No.2 in turn informed PW.2 to place the amount into the drawer of the table of accused No.1. Accordingly, PW.2 after having placed the amount into the drawer, informed by signaling the Lokayukta Police, the Lokayukta Police rushed to the office and arrested both the accused and seized the amount. A seizure mahazar / trap mahazar was drawn in the presence of PW.4.
