THIS WRIT PETITION IS FILED UNDER ARTICLES 226 AND 227 OF THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA PRAYING TO DIRECT THE RESPONDENTS TO PAY HIGHER COMPENSATION AT THE RATE OF RS.20,00,000/- PER ACRE AS CLAIMED BY THE PETITIONER THROUGH THE REPRESENTATION DATED 13.7.2011 FILED THROUGH KARNATAKA GROWERS FEDERATION VIDE ANN-C AND ALSO TO PAY HIGHER COMPENSATION AND ALSO INTEREST AND ETC.,

THIS WRIT PETITION COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING 'B' GROUP THIS DAY, THE COURT MADE THE FOLLOWING:

This petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to pay higher compensation at the rate of Rs.20,00,000/- lakhs per acre for the damage caused to the crops by the respondents at the time of drawing transmission lines.

The petitioners having not submitted any representation to the respondents for claiming higher compensation. Hence, the present petition filed by the petitioner seeking higher compensation is not maintainable.

Hence, the petition stands disposed

reserving liberty to the petitioner to submit the representation afresh with the respondents claiming higher compensation towards alleged damage of crops at the time of drawing transmission lines by the respondents.

If such a representation is submitted by the petitioner within four weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, the respondents to consider the same and pass appropriate order in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the representation to be submitted by the petitioner.
